Mr Jothy Kandasamy

Mr Kandasamy is the consumate professional, articulate, caring and a first rate communicator. Unfortunately over the past number of years I have had more than my fair share of experiences of the NHS system but can say that the treatment I have received under his supervision has been absolutely superb. The NHS is extremely important to the people of Scotland (and rightly so). One immediate way of enhancing its performance which comes to mind based on the quality of service which I have received from Mr Kandasamy would be to consider cloning him as soon as circumstances permit!! I cannot commend him highly enough and would place on record my appreciation of his expertise. Alistair Geddes

My daughter was admitted to The Sick kids Hospital last March and needed urgent surgery. She was seen and treated my Mr Kandasamy, who explained everything to us clearly, going in to detail about her surgery and her after care treatment in a way that we could easily understand. He was a professional at all times and was always available for us to ask him any questions that we had. The work that Mr Kandasamy and his team do is truly amazing and for that I will always be thankful.

When Mr Kandasamy discovered what was Wednesday wrong with me he saw me me immediately and prescribed the best course fr me what leaving me tomake the final decision about surgery. Post operative care was brilliant and I have nothing but admiration for the very skilled surgeon.

Excellent care from Mr Kandasamy and his team. I think it's likely that if he didn't act when/how he did, that I would would not be walking today. By the time I walked into his room he was able to see that needed urgent treatment, with an immediate MRI and follow up consultation. The MRI showed that I needed an operation which was scheduled for the next weekend. His team worked directly with my insurers to expedite arrangements in order to ensure that all facilities were in place at very short notice. Both before, during and after the operation Mr Kandasamy was very attentive. He was able to explain what was wrong with me and the treatment required which, without being patronising, was easy to understand. He also took time to underline the dangers and pitfalls that can befall an operation like this so that I was fully informed as regards my decision. I am able to say that I always felt confident under Mr Kandasamy's care. I am happy to advise that the operation, which I am given to understand was quite a serious one and not without it's dangers, was a success. Minimum pain received and a speedy recovery. I would be very confident if any of my friends or family were to be receiving treatment from Mr Kandasamy in the future.
